Znáte - What it do, What it do? Autorem této legendární hlášky je právě houstonský player Paul Wall! Vyrůstal v H-Townu, od dětství se znal s Chamillionairem a tento vztah vyústil ve spolupráci a oba začínající rappaz spolu založili svoji první kapelu. Vystupovali na festivalech a začali tvrdě pracovat na svym fameu.

Tomu se freestyly natolik líbily, že je neváhal použít na svoje mixtapes a z první rádiové freestyle session udělal pravidelnou záležitost. Street credit obou rappaz je náhle na rychlé cestě nahoru, Paul Wall a Chamillionaire se stávají oficiálními členy seskupení "SwishaHouse", jehož krédo zní: "Major without a major deal", což mluví, myslím si, za vše. Po prvním albu "Chick Magnet", které vyšlo na nezávislém labelu, následuje první major deal a přichází výtečná a u nás asi nejznámější deska - "The People´s Champ".
Po množství mixtapes a několika nezávislých releasech se tedy představuje Paul Wall se svojí vybroušenou lyrikou v nejlepší formě, kdo neslyšel tuto desku, nechť si ji okamžitě koupí, je to opravdu nádherný poslech. Paul byl "tippin on 4-4s", v megahitu "Still Tippin" spolu se Slim Thugem a Mike Jonesem, řídil pomalu s Kanye Westem na "Drive Slow", jeho držka zářila jak discoball v notoricky známém klubovém bangeru, Nellyho pecce "Grillz", mimochodem nominované na cenu Grammy, ke konci roku 2005 jeho slow-drive hymna "Sittin Sideways" zněla z každýho auta v Houstonu.
